gosh its been a while!

well ......I'm going to stop apologising for not writing here as it obviously doesn't work, as I have let you down and not posted since my last apology!!!!

(sorry!)

All has been so so so busy here, printing for cinnamon girl, Xmas!, moving studio, bringing up the kids, big one is all teenagery, small one is only just realising he has to go to school every day and hes not that keen!

 I'm hoping the studio move means I will soon be able to get a balance between my printing shop and my own art work but I still find it hard to find the time to do it all.

I have been given a couple of commissions that need tackling very soon!!! one is to produce a wall based piece of bird themed art for a  group show where 100 women  are going to make 3D birds to sell and  raise money for women for women  an amazing charity that helps women survivor of war to rebuild their lives. I'm thinking i might experiment with the ideas behind the moth dress and try to create a garment with bird flying out of it.

The other commission is a tattoo design! the commissioner really likes my bird lino cuts and would like a tattoo in that style! cool, but I need to find some time to sit down and do it ! cant wait to see my design on someones body!

OK so now you sort of know whats been happening with me I'm going to use this opportunity to shamelessly plug my other venture! New Moths & a Giveaway!!!

Hi all, theres been a few more moths flying off my sewing machine this week!
I'm really enjoying these stitches they seem to be flowing very nicely, I will be  exploring some more next week and maybe need to get myself some new threads in all different shades - of browns of course...my old fear of color still looms large!

 I have noticed that I now have 100 lovely people following this blog, which is very exciting from me, so to celebrate Im going to give away one of these moths to a lucky name pulled out of a hat (or teapot)!

Im really relieved that the main theme from everyone's answer to the question 'What drives you to create?" is we just cant help it!! that's exactly how I feel, some days I wish I could just stop and do something else (not sure what id do) my response to any need I have to fill is usually 'I can make one of those' be it clothes, cakes, art or kitchens I will want to make it!

Ok I think its time I did a give away!
