another thread

Half-term holidays here, only part of a week done and we are all driving each other mad already!!!
Hey Ho Im sure it will get better, we just need a bit of a plan!
Im finding very little time as predicted to really sit down and get on with some work, I just keep snatching a hour here and there.
Still got book page ideas floating around in my head, I need a new stock of books to play with and a bit of drawing time to sort out some ideas, maybe next week I can spend a little time on this.

I have another thread of ideas starting to grow, I decided to start a new sketch book to build up ideas in and just see where it goes, here are a few images from said sketch book.

I have made a few backgrounds on fabric to stitch over and like the idea of displaying these pinned into box frames, but we will see how they turn out first.

nearly at 100 follower Im thinking of a give away to celebrate?? I will take a look around my studio and see if theres anything I think you might like xxxxx

weekly drawing 5th march

This weeks drawing a little later than planned sorry.
This is the first in what may turn into an interesting series of images, a friend of mine works ringing birds (not sure who he works for I presume the RSPB but maybe not) They observe the birds then catch them and ring them recording all the details! They photograph the birds whilst in hand just as evidence but I think they make the most interesting pictures, I have lots of his pictures now and he has pointed me to a few websites where ringers upload pics so I can keep looking for interesting ones! In this sketch I really liked for the huge hands, I haven't exaggerated them, the man ringing is a very big boy and I love the big fingers next to the tint delicate bird!

Ive been very busy this week with loads of sewing, will post pictures at the beginning of next week, they work really well as a whole so I wanted to wait till they were all done to photograph.

Daily drawing friday montage 31st Jan - 5th Feb

This weeks daily drawing installment! bit rushed this week, still seem more inclined to look at faces just for practice but its helping me to see I really do have a style.
The last image of the man holding falcon is a new series brewing, Ive asked hubby to pose over the weekend for some photos for me to sketch from ( he said OK!) so we will see what comes of that.

Still have 3 large canvases all drawn up with the seamstress series....still to frightened to start(also haven't really had much time- or long periods of time) I know its an excuse but i really feel i need at least a few hours to start painting and I only seem to get 1 hour bursts ! I know I know im just stalling.......

Been doing lots of sewn pieces this week, will post some of the others in a bit xxx
